Take a look at our featured Rio Plaza couple's weddings in
the San Antonio Wedding Magazine and Website.
Nicole and Cade
We chose Rio Plaza and the other vendors because all of them made this wedding experience feel simple yet beautiful. We wanted everything to be perfect but not over-the-top, and our first impressions with all of our vendors are what made us decide to use them. Rio Plaza is the best venue. Melanie Planas does it all—she is practically your own wedding coordinator. We received so many compliments about the food—almond-crusted chicken, green beans, loaded potatoes, salad, and rolls. All of the guests were so impressed by the food and service! - See more at: www.sanantonioweddings.com

Kelly and Danny
We met Melanie Planas who completely changed what we had originally envisioned for our wedding. She was so full of energy and provided so much information regarding the different options for us at Rio Plaza, my mom and I knew we had to have the wedding there. Besides, Danny and I got engaged on the Riverwalk, it made perfect sense to also get married there!
Deciding upon Rio Plaza for both the ceremony and reception is a decision we absolutely do not regret. Choosing the vendors was fairly easy. Melanie provided a packet full of preferred Rio Plaza vendors and we literally went off of that list to choose the majority of our vendors, which helped tremendously. - See more at: www.sanantonioweddings.com

Lilly and Lau
After the ceremony, we went to Rio Plaza where we had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and I wore a red Chinese wedding dress. A Chinese tea ceremony is a sacred nuptial ritual in the Chinese culture, where the bride and groom show respect and honour to their parents by presenting them with tea. The ceremony signifies the changed relationship between the couple and their parents since the newlyweds are now considered a daughter and son to both families. The tea set and the red dress used in the ceremony were purchased in Hong Kong where we were engaged. - See more at: www.sanantonioweddings.com

Maria and Tomas
The venue (Rio Plaza) offered a beautiful venue at an affordable price that included food, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, and an event coordinator. Rio Plaza is essentially a one-stop shop that took a lot of the burden off our shoulders with planning/coordinating the reception.
Melanie Planas (the reception coordinator) was able to manage everything in an effortless way, from vendors, timing, food, and decorations.- See more at: www.sanantonioweddings.com

Kristin and Xavier
Kristin Davis and Xavier Adame know something about love: it first starts with a strong friendship.
The happy couple met one another as work colleagues and remained close friends for several years, until something sparked.
Over the span of those years, Kristin and Xavier realized they both shared similar passions for traveling, food, and the outdoors. Their friendship ignited an unbreakable bond they couldn't ignore.
"Xavier and I were together for years before he proposed," Kristin says. “We took our time getting to know each other better, but we always knew early on that we were each other’s future."
